The C219 CLS arrived in 2004 as the first four-door coupé in the Mercedes-Benz range, built until 2010 on the W211 E-Class platform. Diesel cars use the OM642 3.0-litre V6, while petrol versions cover the M272 V6 and M273 V8; the CLS 55 AMG and CLS 63 AMG sit at the top with supercharged or naturally aspirated AMG V8s. Its low roofline, frameless doors and long bonnet set it apart from the E-Class it shared its mechanicals with.
