W166

The W166 replaced the W164 in 2011 and was sold as the ML-Class until 2015, when the facelift adopted the GLE name. It uses a monocoque platform shared with the GL and GLE, with 4MATIC all-wheel drive. Diesel versions run the OM642 V6 or the OM651 four-cylinder, while petrol cars use the M276 V6 and V8s including the ML 63 AMG. Airmatic air suspension was a common option.

Electronics and air suspension dominate demand on the W166: Airmatic struts and compressors, control modules, COMAND units, headlights, mirrors and bumpers are the parts most often needed, along with OM642 and OM651 turbochargers and injectors.
