W906

The W906 is the second-generation Sprinter, built from 2006 to 2018 and sold as a panel van, chassis cab and minibus under the Mercedes-Benz and, for a period, Volkswagen and Dodge badges. Diesel versions run the OM651 four-cylinder or the OM642 V6, with manual and automatic gearboxes and rear- or all-wheel drive. Its size and load-carrying role mean the same basic platform was built in huge numbers across Europe.

Commercial use puts heavy wear on brakes, suspension, drivetrain and body panels, so bumpers, mirrors, doors, sliding-door hardware, suspension arms, driveshafts and OM651 or OM642 turbochargers and injectors are in constant demand. Vans are repaired rather than replaced, which keeps demand for used originals high.
